How a Pressure Vacuum Breaker (PVB) is tested. With a calibrated gauge, a certified tester verifies:
- Air inlet — opening point: minimum 1.0 psid (opens to break a siphon).
- Check valve: minimum 1.0 psid (holds tight).
Readings are recorded, the device is tagged, and the result is certified pass or fail.
